Triad knows that the heart of every community is its people, and so many nonprofits are making a positive impact on the lives of those they serve.
But communities are more than only people. Animals also have an important role in improving the quality of life for everyone.
Recently, as part of our “Great People, Great Places” Initiative in which Triad makes a donation to area nonprofits to help them advance their important missions, we were proud to support Here with Us Farm Sanctuary.
Founded in 2018 and located in Seven Valleys, Pennsylvania, Here with Us works to provide a safe, loving home to farm animals that have been abused and neglected. Here with Us was nominated by Triad Chief Operations Officer Tammy Wetzel – an avowed animal lover.
Triad’s donation is being used to help the sanctuary meets its goal of allowing the animals who call Here with Us Home to “enjoy the best and most loving and compassionate life possible.”
To help make the connection between animals and people, Here with Us offers a Pen Pal Program where anyone can send in a drawing or letter to one of the residents – such as the goats Patrick and Darby, Tofu the chicken, Reggie the dairy cow and many more – and receive a response. What a great way to teach children about responsible, compassionate stewardship!
