At Triad Associates, we know that successful community projects often require more than a single funding source – they require a strategic capital-stacking approach that brings together the right opportunities at the right time. That’s exactly how we helped Gloucester Township bring its new Fitness Court® at Veterans Park from concept to completion.
Recently, Township officials joined Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey and the National Fitness Campaign for a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the opening of the new outdoor fitness facility. While the ceremony marked the completion of the project, its success began much earlier through a comprehensive grant funding strategy developed by Triad Associates.
Working closely with Gloucester Township, Triad Associates identified and coordinated multiple funding sources to make the project possible, including:
- National Fitness Campaign Grant
- Camden County Open Space, Recreation, Farmland and Historical Preservation Trust Fund
- Gloucester Township Open Space and Farmland Protection Trust Fund
By leveraging these additional funding sources, Gloucester Township was able to maximize outside investment, reduce the financial impact on local taxpayers, and create a lasting recreational amenity for residents.
Developed in partnership with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey and the National Fitness Campaign, the Fitness Court® provides free access to a state-of-the-art outdoor gym featuring seven bodyweight exercise stations. Designed for users of all fitness levels ages 14 and older, the facility encourages healthy, active lifestyles and is enhanced by the free Fitness Court® App, which offers guided workouts and digital wellness programming.
