Triad Secures $5,503,000 in FY26 Green Acres Funding for Municipalities throughout New Jersey

Triad Associates is proud to announce that we have successfully secured $5,503,000 in Fiscal Year 2026 Green Acres funding for projects throughout New Jersey, helping our municipal partners expand recreational opportunities for residents and preserve open spaces.

The Green Acres Program, administered by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, funds the preservation of open space and the development of parks and recreational facilities, providing grants and low-interest loans to local governments and nonprofits.

For Fiscal Year 2026, Triad wrote grant applications that secured funding for five of our municipal clients:

  1. Borough of Paulsboro – Awarded $543,000 for improvements at Fort Billings Park, including parking lot paving, ADA-accessible pathways and restroom facilities, an expanded pavilion, new pickleball courts, and interpretive signage highlighting the site’s Revolutionary War history and significance as the nation’s first federal land purchase.
  1. City of Clifton – Awarded $1,500,000 for improvements to Surgent Park, including resurfaced tennis/pickleball courts, field and batting cage improvements, new LED sports lighting, and a replacement scoreboard. The project also includes playground repairs, ADA restroom upgrades, parking and drainage improvements, and new site amenities.

  1. City of Vineland – Awarded $1,180,000 for improvements at Howard Pagliughi Park, including an ADA-accessible, senior-friendly outdoor fitness area, ADA parking upgrades, two pickleball courts, and a walking track to enhance recreation and accessibility for residents of all ages and abilities.
  1. Township of Gloucester – Awarded $1,325,000 for a multi-generational playground and pavilion at Community Park. The Township also received an additional $205,000 for open space property acquisition and conservation.

  1. Town of Hammonton – Awarded $750,000 for a variety of outdoor fitness improvements, including an exercise court, kayak launch, and bocce ball court, in addition to stormwater improvements at Hammonton Lake Park.
