Triad knows that the heart of every community is its people, and so many nonprofits are making a positive impact on the lives of those they serve.
But communities are more than only people. Animals also have an important role in improving the quality of life for everyone.
Recently, as part of our “Great People, Great Places” Initiative in which Triad makes a donation to area nonprofits to help them advance their important missions, we were proud to support Ocracats of Ocracoke Island, NC.
Formed in the early 1990s, Ocracats is dedicated to controlling and caring for the Island’s growing feral cat population. The organization was nominated by Triad Chief Operations Officer Tammy Wetzel – a proud cat lover who has two of her own: Keebler and Basho.
Triad’s donation is being used to support Ocracats’ aggressive Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) program, as well as their work to feed the feral colonies, offer medical intervention when possible for those injured or ill, and foster and find adoptive homes for kittens.
