Triad Associates is proud to announce that we have successfully secured over $9.3 million in Green Acres funding for projects throughout New Jersey, helping our municipal partners expand recreational opportunities for residents and preserve open spaces.
The Green Acres Program, administered by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, funds the preservation of open space and the development of parks and recreational facilities, providing grants and low-interest loans to local governments and nonprofits. In alignment with Jake’s Law, the program also prioritizes funding for “Completely Inclusive Playgrounds” designed to exceed ADA standards and ensure accessibility for children of all abilities.
For Fiscal Year 2025, Triad secured funding for nine of our clients across two categories: Park Development/Jake’s Law projects and Additional Funding.
Park Development and Jake’s Law Funding — Totaling $4,547,000
- Burlington Township – $1,000,000 for playground upgrades, an outdoor fitness circuit, and new restrooms/concession areas at Green Acres II
- Gloucester Township – $750,000 for a Jake’s Law Completely Inclusive Playground at Valleybrook Sports Complex
- Hammonton – $745,000 for a Jake’s Law Completely Inclusive Playground at Hammonton Lake Park
- Monroe Township – $1,302,000 for the construction of an amphitheater at Owens Park
- Moorestown – $750,000 for a Jake’s Law Completely Inclusive Playground at Wesley Bishop Park
Additional Funding for Previously Approved Projects — Totaling $4,824,000
- Carneys Point Township – $511,000 for improvements at the Carneys Point Recreation Complex
- City of Vineland – $1,313,000 for upgrades at the Romano Sports Complex
- Gloucester Township – $2,000,000 for the acquisition of property located on Hider Lane for the purposes of open space preservation
- Greenwich Township – $1,000,000 for improvements at Memorial Park
