Triad Associates is proud to have partnered with the City of Vineland through the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Green Acres grant process, securing $5,313,000 across four grant rounds for a Jake’s Law Playground at the Romano Sports Complex. Jake’s Law was passed in 2018 to encourage the construction of inclusive playgrounds designed with standards exceeding those required by the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Once complete, it will be the only park of its kind in Cumberland County, offering a fully inclusive recreational space for children and families of all abilities. The project will include multiple accessible play zones, a sensory garden for quieter, interactive experiences, and shaded areas to improve comfort throughout the year. Additional elements include an ADA-accessible splash pad, fitness stations along the existing track, and upgraded amenities such as seating areas and accessible parking.
Triad has led the grant strategy, application development, and coordination efforts needed to advance this project through multiple Green Acres funding rounds. Triad was excited to attend the groundbreaking ceremony at the Romano Sports Complex, where state, county, and local officials joined community partners to celebrate this meaningful investment.
