Triad Associates was proud to attend the ribbon-cutting and grand opening for Gloucester Township’s new theater and community space, dubbed Harmony Hall, on September 12.
Harmony Hall is located in Downtown Blackwood’s historic bank building, which has been renovated to serve as a multi-use community center and features a black box theater — a venue for small, live performances.

The building, developed in 1911 and located at 3 S. Black Horse Pike, once served as Blackwood National Bank. The restoration and renovation of this historic building began in 2022 and came at a cost of just under $4.5 million. Triad Associated worked with the Township to ensure that the majority of that—$2.8 million—was secured through grant funding. Gloucester Township worked tirelessly to pursue every available funding opportunity, ultimately receiving support from 10 different grant sources. This effort reflects Gloucester Township’s commitment to being responsible stewards of taxpayer dollars, ensuring that this project could be completed with minimal local funding while still delivering a first-class community centerpiece for Blackwood.
During the grand opening ceremony, Gloucester Township Mayor David Mayer thanked Congressman Donald Norcross, State Senator Paul Moriarty, and Assemblymen Cody Miller and Dan Hutchison, for supporting the renovation project with federal and state grants.
The performance venue at Harmony Hall will be managed by Mainstage Center for the Arts. The community center will also be home to a senior services office. The Township intends to make Harmony Hall available for reservations in 2026.
